HUDSON PLANNING COMMISSION

June 27, 2008

Planning Commission Members Present: Marlene Smith, Steve Smith, Kathy Kope, Brian Hayes, Joshua Beach, David Mann, Mary Lou Hartman, Ward Odom, Town Manager and Atta “Tatsy” Hayes, Clerk-Treasurer

President Marlene Smith called the Planning Commission to order at 6:45 p.m. She called the role of members and all were present. The President asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2007 meeting. David Mann motioned, seconded by Brian Hayes to approve the minutes. Motion carried.

The first order of business was the election of officers. Before taking any nominations, the president offered her resignation to the planning commission due to obligations at home. She then nominated David Mann as president. Hearing no further nominations, she moved the nominations be closed. David Mann then continued the meeting.

Marlene told the group that nothing had been done concerning the mail drop boxes and had received no response from her inquiries. The Hudson postmaster told her that there was a drive up box in Ashley. As to a box in the alley, he did not see the feasibility. The Town Manager was asked to write a letter to the Postmaster again request something for the Town of Hudson’s handicap and senior citizens. The other members also were in agreement to this letter.

The annual report to the Town Council is to be prepared by Ward Odom. Having no further business, President Mann moved, seconded by Brian Hayes to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
